By Mukaram Murzatovna Taizhanova, honored professor of the Department of Geography and Ecology, candidate of geographical sciences, chairman of the Veterans' Council within the framework of the "Club of Interesting People" project of the ANC department.
Nature is the foundation of life on Earth. Man is a child of nature. However, irresponsible use of natural resources and the rapid development of technology have led to environmental degradation. Preserving the habitat is a concern not only for the present but also for the future. Today, environmental preservation is becoming a moral duty for every person. Every action aimed at protecting the environment matters. Reducing emissions, rational water use, waste sorting – these simple steps help preserve natural resources.
Youth play a particularly important role in environmental initiatives due to their activity, creative approach, and desire for change. Their participation in such activities contributes not only to improving the environment but also to the formation of environmental consciousness. The initiative "Taza Kazakhstan" put forward by the President of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev is aimed at shaping the environmental culture of the population, which should become a norm of life for every Kazakhstani.
Only through joint efforts can we preserve the planet and pass it on to those who come after us. Reflections on global and national environmental issues, the feasibility of constructing a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan, student environmental volunteering at M. Kozybayev SKU, the importance of maintaining intercultural dialogue among young people, and the activities of the "Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan" department at the university are presented in the monologue "Preserving Nature for Future Generations" by Mukaram Murzatovna Taizhanova, honored professor of the Department of Geography and Ecology, candidate of geographical sciences, chairman of the Veterans' Council of M. Kozybayev SKU.
