Anatoly Efimovich Slezko (1941-2002), professor, candidate of art history, musician, scientist, and educator, has a named auditorium at the university. He devoted 23 years of his life to our university, taught, headed a department, and was Dean of the Faculty of Music and Pedagogy for 14 years. During this time he managed to nurture a whole pleiad of teachers-musicians, to realise dozens of creative projects, to conduct research activity in the field of art history, thus making a huge contribution to the culture of the region and Kazakhstan as a whole. Colleagues at the Republican scientific-practical conference "The World of Culture: Art, Science and Education" spoke about the merits of the renowned mentor.
"Our dream of opening an auditorium named after A.E. Slezko has been realised. He was dean of the MPF from 1988 to 2002. This is a very large-scale figure for our region. And for 45 years of life of our department, we have not had such a person. That's why we had this idea - to keep the memory of him, to immortalise it in this way for future generations of students", - said Galina Kolesnikova, Associate Professor of the Department of Musical Disciplines.
Also on this day, the presentation of the collection of scientific and methodological articles "Harmony of Life. The Energy of Music", dedicated to the preservation of A.E. Slezko's scientific and pedagogical heritage. The book contains not only Anatoliy Efimovich's works of research, methodological and ethnographic character, but also reminiscences about him, photo gallery and others. The authors of the collection are Galina Kolesnikova, Associate Professor of the Department of Musical Disciplines, and Tatiana Zhukova, Lecturer.
