Happy Holidays, Dear Veterans and Colleagues!
Kozybayev University warmly and with deep gratitude celebrated two important occasions - Higher Education Workers’ Day and International Day of Older Persons. The honorary guests of the celebration were the university’s dear veterans - people who dedicated their lives to educating and mentoring young generations, and true keepers of the university’s traditions. They have made an invaluable contribution to the development of the alma mater and the higher education system of Kazakhstan. A festive reception was organized for the university veterans, but most importantly, they were surrounded by sincere respect and appreciation. As the senior generation themselves noted, this attention and warmth from the university is the most meaningful reward.
Today, 110 retired professionals continue to actively work at Kozybayev University, passing on their experience and knowledge to new generations of students. The heart of the university is its teachers, professors, and mentors — around 400 in total. The role of a teacher is invaluable: they open the path to a profession, shape values, and teach students to make decisions, be responsible, and stay engaged.
In honor of Higher Education Workers’ Day, a number of faculty members and staff received well-deserved awards from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Education, and the Akimat of the North Kazakhstan Region.
Professor Alexandr Demyanenko received the badge “Ğylymdy damytuğa sińirgen eńbegi úşin” (For Contribution to the Development of Science). Senior lecturer Rakhmet Kulykhan and Dean of Foundation Gulbaram Khamzina were awarded the honorary diploma “Til janashyry” (Language Advocate). The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by a vibrant concert program prepared by talented students.
Dear veterans and respected colleagues, congratulations on these bright autumn holidays! May your work always be meaningful and appreciated, may your students inspire you, and may the warmth you generously share return to you in the form of health, joy, new achievements, and energy for good deeds. Thank you for your dedication to the profession, your love for students, and your years of service to the alma mater.
