New Directions of Cooperation with Universities and Colleges of Kurgan
Kozybayev University continues to expand cooperation with educational institutions of the Russian Federation. The university hosted a delegation from Kurgan Oblast, including representatives of the Department of Education and Science, the Rector of Kurgan State University, as well as directors of colleges and technical schools.
The guests were introduced to modern laboratories of the Educational and Laboratory Complex (ELC), particularly in the agrotechnological and medical fields, including those established jointly with partners from the Northwest A&F University in China.
They also visited the interactive video studio. Chairman of the Executive Board – Rector Yerbol Issakayev presented the university’s activities, academic programs, research directions, and the large-scale collaboration project with the University of Arizona, as well as broader international partnerships. He also highlighted strong support from local executive authorities for Kozybayev University.
Deputy Akim of North Kazakhstan Region Zhusup Zhumagulov emphasized the scientific support provided by university researchers for regional projects and the synergy of educational programs within the framework of the Atlas of New Professions.
Potential areas of cooperation with educational and scientific organizations of Kurgan were also outlined, including:
- exchange of students and academic staff;
- internships and study visits;
- joint research and development projects;
- creation of laboratories, research, and engineering centers;
- technology transfer and commercialization;
- development of strategic partnerships in education, science, and innovation.
Guests also expressed readiness for further cooperation.
“From what I have seen, among regional universities this is one of the best — both in terms of facilities and the work carried out by students and faculty in laboratories. One of the great advantages of your university is its close cooperation with regional agricultural producers and medical organizations, truly contributing to the development of North Kazakhstan Region. We are ready to study this experience and implement certain elements at our place. We hope to strengthen our friendly relations further and take additional steps so that students can visit each other. We even discussed the concept of educational tourism, which is very interesting for both sides,” said Andrey Kocherov.
