Kozybayev University Celebrated Republic Day of Kazakhstan: Recognition of Merit and Honoring the Best

The Republic Day of Kazakhstan is one of the most important national holidays, symbolizing the continuity of generations, respect for historical achievements, and the nation’s determination on its path to independence.

A solemn event dedicated to this day was held at Kozybayev University.

For long-standing, impeccable service and outstanding achievements, a number of staff members and faculty were awarded state honors.

The Order of “Qurmet” was awarded to Professor of the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature Zhanar Talaspaeva.

The badge of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Ğylymdy damytuğa sińirgen eńbegi úşin” (“For Contribution to the Development of Science”) was awarded to Senior Lecturer of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies Irina Golodova.

The medal of the Ministry of Agriculture “Eńbek ardageri” (“Veteran of Labour”) was awarded to Senior Lecturer Viktor Sivolap, while the badge “Auyyl şaruaşylyǵy salasynyń úzdigi” (“Excellence in the Agricultural Sector”) was awarded to Senior Lecturer Murat Ahmetov and Associate Professor Elmira Kantarbaeva.

For significant contributions to water management development, faculty members were awarded by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Associate Professor of the Department of Geography and Ecology Asel Bektemirova and Professor Pavel Dmitriev, both receiving the badge “Su şaruaşylyǵynyń úzdigi” (“Excellence in Water Management”).

For active and fruitful work in environmental protection, the badge “Ecology salasynyń üzdigi” (“Excellence in Ecology”) was awarded to Senior Lecturer Ivan Zuban and Senior Lecturer Zhaure Iskandirova.

The badge “Bilim beru isiniń құрmetti qyzmetkeri” (“Honoured Worker of Education”)from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan was awarded to Compliance Officer Inna Dzhemaledinova and Director of the Department of Strategy and Development Marina Pogrebitskaya.

In addition, several staff members received certificates of honor and letters of appreciation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, as well as from the Akimat of North Kazakhstan Region and the Chairman of the Board – Rector.

The event also recalled October 25, 1990, when the Declaration of State Sovereignty was adopted — the document that marked the beginning of Kazakhstan’s path toward modern independence.

Today, Kazakhstan is a dynamically developing state moving confidently toward modernization, sustainable growth, and development. As noted by Chairman of the Executive Board – Rector Yerbol Issakayev, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has repeatedly emphasized that the greatest wealth of Kazakhstan is the unity and harmony of its people.

The celebration concluded with a concert program performed by talented students of the university, featuring patriotic songs and stage performances.

The Republic Day remains a symbol of freedom and unity of the nation. On this bright occasion, we wish everyone good health, well-being, stability, peace, and prosperity for our homeland.
