Physical Education and Military Training: New Approaches Discussed at the University

In cooperation with the Academy of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kozybayev University hosted the international scientific and theoretical conference “Modern Approaches and Teaching Methods in Physical Education and Military Training.”

Students and cadets from both higher education institutions took part in the event. Under the guidance of experienced teacher-mentors, the students prepared reports on relevant topics related to physical training at the university, including the development of practice-oriented tasks for Initial Military Training lessons in secondary schools, consideration of anthropometric characteristics in strength training, digitalization of physical education, and motivation of cadets to engage in sports and physical activity.

Artyom Shitov, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports at Kozybayev University, noted:

“This conference has already become a tradition for us. Last year it was held at the national level, and this year it expanded to the international level with the participation of guests from neighboring countries, including Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The Department of Physical Education at our university has maintained close cooperation with the Academy of the National Guard for many years. I am confident that all the papers presented at today’s conference will gain particular scientific significance in the educational process of our institutions.”

The conference served as a platform for exchanging experience, discussing modern educational methods, and strengthening academic cooperation in the fields of physical education and military training.
