Kozybayev University and Kazan Federal University Join Forces

A delegation from the North Kazakhstan Region, led by Regional Akim Gauez Nurmukhambetov, paid an official visit to Tatarstan. During the visit, the parties discussed opportunities for expanding industrial, investment, and innovation cooperation between the regions and signed a number of key agreements aimed at strengthening collaboration in digitalization, innovation, and trade.

Representatives of Kozybayev University were also part of the delegation. A significant new direction of cooperation for the university was the signing of a memorandum with Kazan Federal University. The document will facilitate the development of both academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

The Akim of the North Kazakhstan Region noted that Tatarstan will become an important partner in implementing the task set by the Head of State—introducing digitalization and artificial intelligence into key sectors of Kazakhstan’s economy.

“Tatarstan, as a leader in digital transformation and innovation, will play a key role in this process. To strengthen cooperation, memorandums have been signed between the Bashir Rameev IT Park and SKO Hub, as well as between Kazan Federal University and Kozybayev University. These agreements will open up new opportunities for joint projects, the development of the IT sector, and the training of highly qualified specialists,” said Gauez Nurmukhambetov.
