New Victories at the National Polyathlon Competitions!

From November 1 to 5, the Kazakhstan Cup in indoor four-event polyathlon was held in Petropavlovsk. Athletes from our region traditionally took part as members of the North Kazakhstan Region team.

The team brought home a total of 7 medals! The best result was shown by Kozybayev University master’s student and renowned champion Nikita Izotov. He won two gold medals: the first in his age category and the second in the Absolute Championship. Thus, Nikita became the strongest all-around athlete in Kazakhstan for the eighth time!

Naumov Aleksandr Vladimirovich, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physical Education and Sports and the team’s coach, won the Absolute Championship among veterans (40 years and older), becoming a 57-time Champion of Kazakhstan!

Graduates of our university also performed brilliantly as part of the national team and contributed medals: Zholaman Aktari, Yulia Bezushko, Angelina Kudryavtseva, and Olga Verner.
