Engineering and Digital Festival “Profession of the Future”

More than 60 college students attended the Engineering and Digital Festival “Profession of the Future” at Kozybayev University. The event was held as part of the nationwide program “Year of Working Professions.”

“Our goal is to promote modern engineering fields, demonstrate the integration of science, education, and industry, and enhance the prestige of technical specialties among young people,” noted Kainizhamal Iklasova, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Digital Technologies.

Students from five technical colleges of the North Kazakhstan Region took part in the festival. The participants were given guided tours of the university’s laboratories, presentations of engineering and IT academic programs, and information on admission opportunities, as well as accelerated and dual education pathways at the university. This year alone, 136 college graduates enrolled at Kozybayev University.

During the event, the winners of the video contest “Profession of the Future”, which involved university and college students, were awarded. Through their projects, participants demonstrated that modern professions combine drive, intelligence, and creativity. In addition, the best students of the Faculty of Engineering and Digital Technologies were recognized with certificates for academic excellence, active civic engagement, and contributions to the development of the university.

Festival participants also took part in interactive sessions and master classes showcasing the application of digital and 3D technologies with elements of artificial intelligence, as well as the operation of wind power plants and solar energy converters. At the digital exhibition of 3D models, visitors explored student projects dedicated to the historical architecture of the city. In the robotics zone, participants were introduced to robotic systems and student-developed projects in the fields of digitalization and artificial intelligence.
