Partnership Opening New Horizons

Advisor to the President of Nazarbayev University, Kanat Baigarin, visited our university. The visit was focused on issues of mutual cooperation in academic, scientific, and other areas. It is especially encouraging that our university will become the first regional university with which Nazarbayev University has begun to build such a partnership.

Kanat Abdualievich familiarized himself with our laboratory facilities and classroom infrastructure, and met with our researchers and teaching staff.

Among the priority areas of cooperation are:

1. Joint research and implementation of scientific projects in the fields of ecology and agroecology, food security, water resources, and more
2. Shared use of laboratory facilities
3. Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals
4. Preparation of scientific articles for indexed journals
5. Internships, training, and professional development of academic staff

All of this will ultimately have a positive impact on the quality of student training and the level of faculty qualifications.

For us, as a regional university, the transfer of Nazarbayev University’s experience will enable us to reach a fundamentally new level, strengthening our research capacity. It will become a powerful driver for the development of science and academic activity in the northern region of the country, lay the foundation for knowledge exchange and joint projects, and improve the quality of education.
