University Students Awarded A.S. Pushkin Scholarships

On the eve of the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan, a ceremonial event was held at the university to award A.S. Pushkin scholarships to students.

The founder of the scholarship is the Omsk Regional Public Organization “Ch. Valikhanov Center for Russian-Kazakh Friendship” (Russia).

Five students of our university received one-time scholarships in the amount of 50,000, 30,000, and 20,000 tenge. They are winners and prize holders of the essay competition dedicated to the works of A.S. Pushkin, as well as active members of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan department:

Karlygash Karatayeva – 1st place
Pavel Lysenko – 2nd place
Anastasia Razhanova – 3rd place
Chingiz Shitkanov and Georgy Komarov – active members of the Student Scientific Society

The scholarships were presented by Makhabbat Kopturov, Chairman of the Board of the “Ch. Valikhanov Center for Russian-Kazakh Friendship.” The event was also attended by Rustam Gerasimchuk, Deputy Minister of Internal Policy of the Omsk Region.

At the event, Kemel Ospanov, Head of the “Kogamdyk Kelisim” Public Institution of the Internal Policy Department, spoke about cross-border Kazakhstan–Russia cooperation and the preservation of cultural heritage in North Kazakhstan.

It is worth noting that Kozybayev University actively develops international cooperation in education and science, implements academic mobility programs, joint educational initiatives, and research projects. Memorandums have been signed with 50 Russian universities and research centers, including 7 from the Omsk Region, Russian Federation.
