«Court in the classroom: how students of the Faculty of History, Economics, and Law felt like the rulers of justice»

On April 17, 2026, as part of the Week of Science, the role-playing game «Court in a Criminal Case» was held. The event was held as an open criminal trial, in which the students participated. Under the guidance of the teachers of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Law, Umrikhina Marina Yurievna and Shut Oksana Alexandrovna, the students of the Y-23 stream transformed into judges, prosecutors, lawyers, witnesses, experts, and defendants. The Criminal Court, consisting of students from the group Y-23-1, including Dilyara Mustafina, Temirzhan Tamirlan, and Danyana Bashenova, issued a fair verdict against the defendants who committed a particularly serious crime.

Prosecutors Makarova Ksenia (Y-23-2) and Shaisultan Dilnaz (Y-23-1) demonstrated their knowledge of criminal procedure legislation and their acting skills; lawyers Dokuchaev Ivan (Y-23-2) and Pozolotin Vadim (Y-23-1) played the roles of defendants. Novitsky Arseny (Y-23-1) and Zaspa Leonid (Y-23-2) successfully portrayed the roles of the defendants. As a result of the open lesson, it became clear that the third-year students of the 6V04201-Jurisprudence educational program are ready for their future professional activities.
