Official Selection Results: Study Arizona Program (Fall 2026)

Dear Students,

The Joint Selection Committee of Kozybayev University and The University of Arizona has completed the student application review for the Fall 2026 Study Arizona semester exchange program.

The strict principles of transparency, academic integrity, and the equitable distribution of allocations guided the selection process. Applications were evaluated jointly and completely independently by both parties. Each institution assigned scores within its respective academic framework, and the final score for each non-academic criterion was calculated as the sum of points awarded by the KU and UofA committees.

We have compiled ranked lists for each degree program, which include a detailed breakdown of scores for all criteria and individualized feedback for each applicant.

Evaluation Methodology

We understand how important this milestone is for every applicant, and we would like to clarify the methodology once more. The final ranking of students was determined by a cumulative 100-point-scale score.

The fundamental principle of this selection process was comprehensive evaluation. The final decision did not rely solely on academic performance; rather, it considered the candidate’s holistic profile across four indicators: GPA (Max. 30 points), Motivational Essay (Max. 30 points), Portfolio (Max. 20 points), and Instructor Discretion (Max. 20 points).

Next Steps

Your final status is indicated in the evaluation tables sent to you. Depending on your ranking, your next steps are as follows:

Rankings 1 to 10 (Approved) – You are officially recommended for enrollment in the Study Arizona program! Your Next Steps: You must immediately begin the documentation and travel preparation process. A valid passport is a mandatory requirement; if you do not have one, you must apply for it urgently. Our Location Manager, Albina Rashidovna, will begin working with you on Monday, June 1.

Rankings 11 and 12 (Waitlist) – You have been included in the official waitlist of candidates. What this means: This list is established in the event that a candidate from the primary roster (Top 10) declines participation, faces a visa refusal, or encounters other force majeure. Your Next Steps: Despite your waitlist status, you must also begin the full documentation process alongside the primary roster right now. Should a spot open up, the replacement must occur instantaneously. Having a completed application package ensures that you will not miss this opportunity due to bureaucratic delays. Albina Rashidovna will also begin working with you on Monday, June 1.

Subsequent Rankings (Pending) – You may still be considered for the program in the event of force majeure affecting the paperwork of students ranked 1–12. Should such a need arise, candidates will be contacted strictly in accordance with their assigned rank.

We want to thank all participants for their thorough preparation, and hard work. We wish you every success in your further studies and future academic endeavors!
