Development of resource-saving technologies for increasing the productivity of old-growth herbage stands of perennial grasses in the forest-steppe zone of Northern Kazakhstan
Applied scientific research in the field of the agro-industrial complex for 2018-2020 under the budget program 267 "Increasing the availability of knowledge and scientific research" subprogram 101 "Program-targeted financing of scientific research and activities"

Project manager: Shayakhmetova A.S., dean of the Agrotechnological faculty, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences
Project executors: Koshen B.M., Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor, Academician of Agricultural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akhmetov M.B., Temirbolatova A.K., Master, Mukanova F.K., Master.
Terms of execution: 2018-2020
Amount of financing: 28,500,000 tenge.
The goal of the project: determination of methods for surface improvement of old-growth herbage, methods of care, establishment of the regularity of the influence of agricultural technology on the water-physical and agrochemical properties of soil on old-growth herbage; the influence of cultivation techniques on growth and development, the productivity of forage crops.
Expected results: development of the main elements and parameters of the main agrophysical and agrochemical properties of the soil, for fodder crops, by improving the technology of cultivation in simple and complex agrophytocenoses; identification of perennial and annual grasses for cultivation, determination of the main parameters for individual elements of agricultural technology for the cultivation of annual and perennial forage crops for their productivity; development of a technology for improving the fodder value of old-growth herbage of perennial grasses, contributing to an increase in yield from 16-18 c/ha to 26-30 c/ha of dry weight, providing 5-7 thousand feed. units from 1 ha and contributing to the preservation and reproduction of soil fertility. Recommendations for energy-saving (adaptive) technology for the cultivation of forage crops in simple and complex agrophytocenoses. Publication of 2 articles, 1 patent application, 1 recommendation.
Project Description:
Development of technology for increasing productivity, obtaining stable yields of cultivated crops, maintaining the reproduction of soil fertility, increasing fodder productivity, while reducing energy consumption. Study of sowing dates and seeding rates of forage crops in simple and complex agrophytocenoses.
Project objectives:
−development of resource-saving technologies for increasing the productivity of old-growth herbage of perennial grasses, taking into account the rational use of the bioclimatic potential of the region;
−receiving stable yields of cultivated crops on old-growth herbage of perennial grasses;
−preservation of reproduction of soil fertility, increasing fodder productivity of old-growing perennial grasses by 18-22% in the first years and up to 35% in subsequent years, while reducing energy consumption by 18-20%. At the same time, the protein content in feed will increase from 9-11% to 14-15%, the concentration of metabolizable energy in 1 kg of dry matter will be 10-11 MJ.
