Development of an agrolandscape organization of land use and energy-saving methods of growing grain crops in Northern Kazakhstan
Priority area: Sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex and safety of agricultural products

Project manager: Kөshen B.M., Doctor of Agricultural Sciences
Project executors: Shayakhmetova A.S., Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Gossen E.F., Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Kushenov B.M., Candidate of Agricultural Sciences , Nurgaliev R.E., Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Nabiev S.K., Master
Terms of execution: 2018-2020
Amount of financing: 135,000,000 tenge.
Purpose of the project: To scientifically substantiate the agrolandscape organization of the land use area and the improvement of the technology of cultivating grain crops, depending on soil fertility, environmental compliance and the intended purpose of the products.
Expected results: The development of an agrolandscape organization of land use and energy-saving techniques for the cultivation of grain crops makes it possible to differentiate the main links of the farming system in accordance with the level of fertility, the development of erosion processes, the ecological state and economic potential.
Description of the project: At the current level of development of agricultural production, an agrolandscape organization of the land use area is required, which allows differentiating the main links of the farming system in accordance with the level of fertility, the development of erosion processes and environmental load. Namely: the system of various crop rotations and the structure of sown areas, methods of soil protection from wind and water erosion, soil cultivation and moisture accumulation, varieties, grain sowing technology and the use of mineral and organic fertilizers.
Project objectives:
- development of diagnostic indicators of soil erosion by wind for soil protection measures to justify soil protection measures in on-farm land management;
- development of a methodology for agrolandscape zoning of land use, including the relief of the territory, natural snow deposition, soil fertility and the level of grain yield;
- development of energy-saving methods of cultivation of grain crops, taking into account soil fertility, moisture supply, terrain relief and climatic conditions of the selected agricultural landscapes of territories;
- economic and bioenergy assessment of existing and recommended methods of cultivation of grain crops in agricultural landscapes.
