Preparation and publication of materials from archaeological sites of Northern Kazakhstan on the basis of scientific research of collections from the funds of museums and laboratories

Project goal: Introduction to scientific circulation in the form of scientific publications of archaeological collections of various eras of ancient history based on data from archaeological sites of Northern Kazakhstan, including burial and settlement complexes of the Stone, Bronze and Early Iron Age when creating a database for the reconstruction of historical processes of antiquities in Kazakhstan.
Expected results: Obtaining comprehensive scientific information on the materials and lifestyle of the population of the Stone, Bronze and Early Iron Age on the territory of Northern Kazakhstan, which will significantly supplement the data bank on ancient history. On this basis, it will be possible to make informed conclusions about the time and way of including the population of the region in trade and economic relations with other regions of Eurasia, using the northern branch of the Great Silk Road.
Description of the project: The idea of the project is aimed at introducing into scientific circulation new archaeological sources that have not been previously published in the scientific literature and are the most valuable material evidence of ancient eras for the reconstruction of cultural and household cult and economic events over several millennia of antiquity in Kazakhstan. Scientific processing of collections of archaeological monuments and individual finds from the territory of Northern Kazakhstan, currently stored in museums and archaeological laboratories of universities in Kazakhstan and Russia.
This work will make it possible to introduce into scientific circulation the materials of archaeological collections located in various repositories, but which have not received the possibility of publication for various objective and subjective reasons.
Project objectives:
study of collections of archeology in the funds of various institutions of culture and education, their scientific description, sketches and photographs for further preparation for scientific publications of materials from the monuments of Northern Kazakhstan.
