Development and implementation of a new high-performance mobile railway complex with resource-saving technology for laser restoration of railway wheel sets

This study is funded by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (grant no. AR14869177).

Project manager: Savinkin V. V., Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor.

Project executors: Kashevkin A. A., PhD, Lutsak S. M., PhD, Zhumekenova Z. Zh., PhD, Ivanova O. V., Master's degree.

Execution dates: 2022-2024.

Objective: To provide the capacity of Kazakhstan's railway repair and restoration infrastructure with a highly efficient and resource-saving technology for laser manufacturing of wheel sets of car complexes. Develop domestic science and know-how, transfer of innovative technologies, production of competitive EiM products.

Project description: The implementation of this project solves the scientific and technical problem of the need of National companies for new domestic technologies for manufacturing high-performance repair and restoration railway complexes and technologies for laser restoration of wheel pairs of cars with high resource durability.

Expected results: Scientific and technical documentation will be developed on the reasonable choice of optimal design parameters and technology for laser restoration of wheel sets. The developed laser restoration technology will open up new horizons in the field of quality, resource saving, energy intensity and durability of domestic railway car repair complexes in Kazakhstan.
