Loginov Sergey Ivanovich was born on 24.01.1946 in the village of Vetluzhsky, Krasno-Bakovsky district, Gorky region. In 1968, he graduated from the Faculty of Biology and Chemistry of the Vladimir Pedagogical Institute and began his career at the Petropavlovsk Pedagogical Institute named after K. D. Ushinsky. Here he worked his way up from a teacher to the head of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology.
Sergey Ivanovich defended his PhD thesis at Kazan University in 1979 and received the title of Associate Professor in the Department of Human and Animal Anatomy and Physiology in 1982. His scientific career reached new heights when in 2008 he defended his doctoral dissertation on "System analysis and management of human physical activity in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra" at Surgut University. A year later, in 2009, the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation awarded him the title of professor.
Currently, Sergey Ivanovich continues to share his knowledge and experience, working as a professor at the Department of Medical and Biological Foundations of Physical Culture of Surgut State University (SurGU) and head of the Laboratory of Biomechanics and Kinesiology. He also directs a master's program that trainsa new generation of professionals.
Professor Loginov's research interests cover a wide range of topics related to physical activity and human health in the North, studied through the prism of chaos theory and synergetics. He deals with the psychophysiology of physical activity, based on the trans-theoretical model (TTM) of behavior change, as well as the physiology and biomechanics of sports and exercise.
Over the years of his activity, Sergey Ivanovich has prepared 5 candidates of Sciences, published 2 monographs, 5 textbooks and 240 scientific articles. His contribution to science and education cannot be overstated, and his work continues to bring benefits both in academia and in real life.
