Project objective: it is aimed at developing political and strategic recommendations for improving Kazakhstan's state policy in the field of food security in the border regions.
Expected results: The main focus is on creating a comprehensive policy aimed at strengthening food sustainability and reducing the vulnerability of the border regions (North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Kostanay, East Kazakhstan, Aktobe and Mangystau) to external economic risks and geopolitical challenges. The project also aims to strengthen cooperation with international partners, optimize cross-border trade and develop measures that promote socio-economic stability in border areas through the prism of food security. The effective implementation of the planned scope of work on the project opens up opportunities for applying the results obtained in the process of developing state policy in the field of food security in border territories. This will allow monitoring and assessing the state of public policy in this area, taking into account the socio-economic situation, as well as developing curricula and materials on political science, economics and other disciplines.
Project Description: To increase the productivity and sustainability of agriculture in the border regions, it is important to introduce modern agronomic technologies and practices. The project will facilitate the adaptation of foreign experience and technologies, which will improve the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex and make it more competitive. At the national level, the project will contribute to improving Kazakhstan's food security, which, in turn, will have a positive impact on social and economic stability in the country. Sustainable food supply is not only a matter of economic security, but also of the social well-being of the population. At the international level, the results of the project can contribute to strengthening Kazakhstan's position as a food hub in Central Asia. The development of an effective food security system in the border regions will help establish closer economic ties with neighboring countries and increase export potential.
