On holding a competition for the award of vacant educational grants released in the process of receiving higher and postgraduate education

The competition for the award of vacant educational grants released in the process of receiving higher and postgraduate education is held based on the results of the summer examination session of 2021-2022 academic year in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 23, 2008 No. 58 “On approval of the Rules for awarding an educational grant to pay for higher education” and the Academic Policy of the M. Kozybayev NKU.

Vacant educational grants released in the process of receiving higher or postgraduate education are awarded on a competitive basis to students on a paid basis in the context of groups of educational programs, forms and terms of study, taking into account the year of admission.

In the case of absence of applicants for a group of educational programs, vacant educational grants released in the process of receiving higher and (or) postgraduate education are redistributed within the direction of training or field of education.

The award of vacant educational grants released in the process of receiving higher education is carried out during the summer and winter holidays for existing vacancies on a competitive basis.

The competition is held based on the results of an intermediate assessment based on the GPA (Grade Point Average) for the entire period of study with the issuance of a certificate of award of an educational grant.

In the case of the same indicators of the average GPA score, then priority will have the students with only A, A- ("excellent") marks, in the next turn - marks from A, A- ("excellent") to B+, B, B- , C+ ("good"), then - mixed marks for the entire period of study.

Received applications are considered at a meeting of the Competition Commission, the Academic Council.

The university, on the basis of the decision of the Academic Council, sends a list of applicants for transfer to vacant educational grants to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for decision- making purposes.

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan considers the received documents and, in case of a positive decision, issues an order to award a vacant educational grant for higher and (or) postgraduate education.

The application and relevant documents for participation in the competition are submitted to the BURSAR office: from 9.00 to 18.00, lunch from 13.00 to 14.00 (building 2, room 227, tel. 49-32-52,

8-747- 600-3613).

Documents are accepted until July 05, 2022, 18.00.

An application is submitted no later than the hour and date specified in the announcement of the competition.

List of required documents:

1. Application of a student on a paid basis addressed to the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the NKU. M. Kozybaev for participation in the competition for the award of educational vacant grants.

2. Student's transcript.

3. A copy of the identity document of the student.
