Within the framework of the 25th anniversary of the APC, Culture Days are held monthly at M. Kozybayev NKSU. The Days of Kazakh, Indian, German, Armenian, Tatar, Russian and Ukrainian cultures have already been held. This made it possible to familiarize university students and teachers with the cultural diversity of ethnic groups living in our country.
In connection with the emergency mode introduced, the celebrations in the foyer of the educational buildings that were familiar to us were replaced by online meetings. Therefore, the Days of Polish Culture were held on the ZOOM platform. For students of all educational programs, including foreign students of the Higher School of Medicine, lectures on the Polish people were held in 3 languages as part of the educational lecture hall "Halyktanu". An optional course "Religions and Ethnicities of Kazakhstan: History and Present" was held in 2 languages (state, Russian), where they talked about the religious beliefs of the Poles. In addition, a round table was organized for HELF students, at which the training manual “Poles of the North Kazakhstan Region” was presented, developed by the head of the Department “History of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines” Nurbolat Abuov and the Deputy Chairman of the North Kazakhstan Regional Cultural Center “Copernicus" by Valentina Korneva.
Students were interested in the traditions, holidays and mentality of the Poles, the meaning of individual Polish words, outstanding Poles with world names, the resettlement of Poles to Kazakhstan and the North Kazakhstan region, the history of the transfer of the shrine - the Star of Kazakhstan by Poland to Kazakhstan, etc. About 300 students took part in the dialogue and received answers to their questions from experts and lecturers.
