Within the framework of the research project "North Kazakhstan - taste and traditions", an ethnographic expedition was organized to the Ualikhanov district of the North Kazakhstan region. Aigerim Musagazhinova, director of the Rukhani Zhangyru Institute for Social and Humanitarian Research, Zaure Kartova, and ethnic photographer Dinara Zhunusova took part in it.
The main goal of the study is to collect ethnographic data, as well as to identify carriers of the intangible cultural heritage of the Kazakh people in North Kazakhstan. Field polls and interviews with the inhabitants of auls were carried out, the work of the folklore ensemble "Akazheler" was studied. Scientists got acquainted with the activities of the "Abay Center" located in the library of the village of Kishkenekol. An ethno-photo session was also held there, during which videos and materials about the Kazakh national cuisine, arts and crafts, customs and traditions were collected.
