Studies at the faculty are conducted full-time in the Kazakh language on a state educational order and on a paid basis. The academic year begins on October 1, and the term of study is 9 months.

Students of preparatory courses are provided with a dormitory, students studying under a state educational order receive a scholarship. Upon completion of their studies, depending on the results of the UNT, students will have the right to study at higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan on a competitive basis to receive a state educational grant.

During the academic year, foreign citizens of Kazakh nationality study the following compulsory subjects:

• Reading Literacy;
• 2 specialized subjects.

Additional subjects:

• The History of Kazakhstan;
• Russian Language;
• Physical Culture;
• Professional Kazakh language.

During the academic year, citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan study the following subjects:

• Reading Literacy;
• The History of Kazakhstan;
• Mathematical Literacy;
• English Language;
• 2 specialized subjects (Chemistry-Biology, Mathematics-Physics, Mathematics-Computer Science).

In addition to the educational process, students of the Foundation faculty actively participate in sports competitions, KVN, Nauryz celebrations, conferences, thematic seminars, as well as various republican, regional, and city events of the university.

Measures to adapt to the new environment, a rational psychological climate, the developed infrastructure of the university, its convenient location – all this makes it possible to choose to study at the preparatory courses of the Foundation faculty.

Conditions of admission to the preparatory department

On the preparatory Department are accepted:

• school graduate;
• college graduate.

For foreign citizens of Kazakh nationality, it is possible to study at preparatory courses on the basis of a state educational order. To receive this educational grant, applicants must submit an application and relevant documents in paper or electronic format through the university in the period from August 5 to September 5 of the current year. In the period from September 10 to September 15, admission will be held on a competitive basis in accordance with the internal rules adopted at each university.

Candidates who wish to study on a fee-based basis are also accepted in the above manner.

Language courses for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan 

All persons with secondary, specialized secondary, technical and vocational education are accepted to the Foundation faculty.

Students are accepted on a competitive basis by passing tests in English and in one of the subjects "Biology", "Physics", "Chemistry", "Computer Science" of the natural-mathematical direction for training in a course of enhanced language training based on a state educational order.

To apply for an educational grant, candidates must apply between August 5 and September 5 of this year by submitting the relevant documents through the university. From September 10 to 15, each university is admitted on a competitive basis in accordance with the accepted internal regulations.

After completing 9 months of study at the Foundation faculty, students of the enhanced language course participate in the unified national testing, if they exceed the threshold score of the pedagogical direction, take tests on the subject "English", and also, when recruiting 50%, they can choose a group of educational programs of the pedagogical direction according to their profile and become a candidate for a state educational grant.

Scholarships are paid from the republican budget to students studying at the Foundation Faculty under a state educational order. The university will provide students from other cities with a place in the dormitory. Students of the Foundation faculty, who are full-time students, are given a "Listener's Ticket", which allows them to take advantage of the discounts provided.

Evening foundation courses 

At the "Foundation" faculty of North Kazakhstan University named after M. Kozybayev there are evening foundation courses, where training is conducted in all subjects necessary for passing the UNT.

Tuition at evening preparatory courses is paid, tuition is accepted immediately for a period of 3 months and depending on the number of selected subjects, i.e. you can enroll in 1, 2, 3 or all five subjects. Classes are conducted in a lecture-practical format in the state and Russian languages by teachers with extensive experience in preparing applicants. In order to control the students' knowledge, trial testing is regularly conducted.

In February-May of the academic year, evening courses are opened for a period of 3 months (with a set of 10 students in each subject, depending on the language of instruction).
