As part of the strategy to develop scientific potential and expand international cooperation, Kozybayev University has engaged foreign researchers from India and Pakistan. A postdoctoral researcher from Chiang Mai University (Thailand), Lokeshwara Reddy, has arrived at the university. He has extensive experience in bioelectronics, biosensors, and nanostructured materials. He has been appointed as a research fellow to contribute to a project focused on developing sustainable water management technologies based on advanced international standards. The research aims to ensure environmental safety, protect public health, promote organic agriculture, and reduce negative environmental impact. Currently, the scientist is working on the development of water treatment and purification systems for industrial processes at processing enterprises, including biological treatment methods. Dr. Muhammad Saqib Saif has also joined the university’s research activities. He is a lecturer at Islamia University of Bahawalpur. His research interests include the development of biologically active compounds based on plant extracts, green synthesis of nanoparticles and metal-organic frameworks, as well as nanomedicine. Within the framework of the program-targeted funding (PCF), Muhammad Saqib Saif will conduct a comparative analysis of feed resources to improve milk quality. This research is aimed at introducing innovative approaches in the agricultural sector and enhancing the quality of agricultural products.

In the city of Semey, the Kazakhstan Youth Championship in Kazakh Kuresi brought together more than 400 athletes from all regions of the country. At this prestigious tournament, Adilet Murzash, a student of group FCS-23k from the Department of “Physical Culture and Sports” at Kozybayev University, delivered an outstanding performance and became the Champion of Kazakhstan in the +100 kg weight category. During the competition, Adilet held 5 bouts and secured confident victories in all of them. In the first round, he defeated a representative of the Abai region with a clear advantage, and in the subsequent stages, he demonstrated strong and уверенная wrestling, advancing to the final. In the decisive bout, he faced a wrestler from the Zhambyl region and, in a tense match, proved his skill by claiming victory and earning the title of Champion of Kazakhstan. The XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad in the field of “Law” was held at Caspian University. As part of the “Law and Order” ideology and ongoing preventive efforts against drug-related crime, Kozybayev University, in cooperation with the Department for Coordination of Preventive Work of the North Kazakhstan Region Police Department, held a practical training session for students at the Canine Service Center. The main goal of the event was to raise students’ awareness of the prevention of offenses related to the use and distribution of drugs, as well as to introduce them to the work of the police canine service. During the meeting, students had a unique opportunity to observe the practical work of police officers and their service dogs. Participants were shown the skills of four-legged assistants in detecting narcotic and explosive substances, and were also informed about the specifics of canine service work. A guided tour of the center sparked particular interest. Students were shown the conditions in which the dogs are kept, their equipment and gear, as well as the training process. Future specialists were able to observe the work of various breeds - from shepherd dogs to spaniels - known for their speed, intelligence, and precision in following commands. Additionally, during a demonstration, the service dogs successfully apprehended a mock offender and detected a simulated narcotic substance. The spectacular nature of the performance, the coordination of actions, and the professionalism of the officers made a strong impression on the students. At the end of the meeting, participants noted that they had gained a new perspective on the profession of a canine handler and recognized the importance of preventive work in combating drug-related crime.

Today, a large-scale environmental campaign, “Taza Kazakhstan,” took place across the republic with the participation of the Head of State. Students of Kozybayev University, Amir Agzamov and Aruzhan Yermukhan, had a unique opportunity to personally take part in tree planting together with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Over the past two years, the “Taza Kazakhstan” initiative has evolved into a powerful nationwide movement, bringing people together around key values: environmental care, cleanliness, and the improvement of the surrounding environment. Kozybayev University also actively supported the campaign: the university’s leadership, faculty, and students jointly planted around 60 trees along the student alley, including spruce, linden, and lilac. Such initiatives are not just a contribution to greening efforts, but an important step toward fostering environmental awareness and responsibility for the future of our country. Together, we are creating a clean, green, and sustainable Kazakhstan!

Students Semyon Labodryga and Gleb Nos won 1st place as a team at the XVIII Republican Student Subject Olympiad in the field of “Special Pedagogy”! The intellectual competition was held at A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University in Kostanay. The students emerged as the best in a highly competitive contest among 14 teams from different regions of the country. The competition consisted of two stages: participants presented a project titled “SocioQuest” and completed a test to assess their theoretical knowledge. Our winners demonstrated in practice a high level of professional training, motivation, creative potential, and research skills. Gleb and Semyon are studying under the dual-degree educational program “Special Pedagogy and Inclusive Practice,” implemented in cooperation with a strategic partner - the University of Arizona. This achievement is yet another confirmation of the effectiveness of the internationalization strategy of universities in the country. The development of partnerships and the launch of joint programs with leading global universities yield tangible academic results and contribute to training competitive specialists. On the eve of May 1, Kozybayev University hosted the festive event “Student Spring,” dedicated to the celebration of Nauryz. Faculty members and students gathered in the main square, where creative groups performed and sports competitions were held. The festival of spring and youth - “Student Spring” - symbolizes not only the awakening of nature, but also the beginning of new achievements. Spring is a time of creation, when each of us feels a surge of energy to pursue even the boldest goals. The event combined the wisdom of national traditions with the energy of the modern generation. “Students from different regions and nationalities study within the walls of our university. It is in this diversity that we see our strength, our wealth, and our future. Today, the university is a space of knowledge, development, friendship, and mutual support. We are proud that young people not only receive a high-quality education, but also carefully preserve national traditions, respect their culture, and maintain continuity between generations,” noted Chairman of the Executive Board - Rector Yerbol Issakayev. On this day, the winners of the creative competition for decorating campus classrooms for Nauryz Meyramy were also awarded. The evaluation focused not only on decoration, but on the ability to create an atmosphere of warmth and unity in every corner of the university.
